The Jug of Ale closing gigs

We heard last week, that after months of speculation, the Jug of Ale in Moseley is indeed closing down this week.
Sounds like they are going out with a bang with some gigs lined up including one tonight with headliners Envy and Other Sins being supported by Deluka, Gundogs and This Love Affair.

Envy posted this comment on their mail out today ….

For anyone who doesn’t know, the gigs at the Jug have been promoted by the same laudable chap, Arthur, for 15 years. In that time, almost every British band who’s ever climbed into a battered van has made an appearance there, including Oasis, The Verve, Super Furry Animals, Bush, Placebo, Ash, Kasabian, Editors, Maximo Park and not forgetting Envy & Other Sins! Although Arthur will still be promoting gigs in other venues, this represents the end of a significant chapter in Birmingham’s musical history.

Tickets are £5 on the door, first come, first served.
